That is a very good question! Effort and initiative are one thing but mean absolutely nothing if you're not committed.

OK, ya right, whatever, the real question is WHY do you, Marzano, want this position. And why the sudden interest in politics? I noticed you came out of the woodwork in the last round of elections. Other than those couple of times and some posts in the Hispanic Alliance, well, there's not much else beyond that.

Why's everybody asking general questions? I like the ones about what the candidate wants to do if elected. What things need to be changed, what priorities are on the agenda...that kind of stuff. You guys are too general.
I've seen my name come up on a couple of posts about "activity" and time committments. I'd like to let you all know I didn't plan on running out of time or not committing. Since I got laid off last year from my full time job, I had to work two part time jobs. It's tough and then adding school to that too. When I decided to run for office, I had two full time offers but they both got yanked. I figured once I started one of them, I'd have more time because my schedule would be more set. Sh*t happens. I didn't take more than I could handle. I resigned because I couldn't committ for reasons beyond my control.

Thanks, Exarchos. But I don't think anyone meant anything negative or offensive by referencing you.
Here are some answers to all of your questions:
1. I am willing to dedicate time and effort if I am elected. I may not have the same amount of experience in NS politics but I have initiative and drive. This is something that I've wanted to do ever since the region started growing and we started asking about opening the assembly.
2. OK. So, G-Tech has a lot more posts than I do and a lot less time in the region. Some of us have dropped off in the past. That doesn't mean we're not interested in what's going on. Remember, there wasn't alot of things going on before like there are now, so people didn't do too much posting. I can understand how the number of posts is directly related to activity, but keep in mind alot of posts are just one word or one phrase. If I post 10 posts with a paragraph or two of content, I think that's just as valuable as 20 or 30 posts of one word/one phrase posts. Sometimes it's not always about the quantity of posts but the quality and content of those posts.
3. WHY do I want to do this? Because I've really started to like govt roleplays. I'm not much of a roleplayer. I joined the region originally because of Yavaros and Letor who went to the same school I did. We had a blog site going when we were in school and I thought it would be a nice way to support them. I want to help the region develop and want to be part of that process.

Sounds reasonable. Where did TRE and G-tech go?

Sounds reasonable. Where did TRE and G-tech go? Still here Got caught up on the NS forums in some bloody fabulous RPs, but I'm around. And Marzano, not to be combative or nought, but since I am sorta kinda running against you.... I did a member search on the last two hundred posts for the both of us, and in my humble opinion the length/quality of our posting is roughly comparable. I'm sure the "30 posts of one word/phrase" comment wasn't aimed at me, but on the off chance it was I dutifully defend my record. Anyone who wishes to do the same can easily look at a member's profile and see their last 'x' amount of posts.

Apologies for not being around much, my mother died on her birthday and I've been swamped horribly with trying to keep up with family. I don't know how she kept contact with people....takes so much freaking time....
So ya haven't been on much because of that, and well wallowing and such
