Imperiomontium is an ancient borderland located along the Baltic coast and plain. It is a large nation that has existed in NationStates since January 2010. It was originally a roleplay state created by Imperator as an econ roleplay nation while a member of the NewPower Federation (a region that is now defunct). It remained under Imperator's rule until it was ceded to the Teutonic Alliance in October 2010. This was done as an asset exchange between the Sabastos and Imperator to help finance the Continental Trust and Continenal Alliance. As a Trust Partner, Sabastos had to establish a nation in the Continental Alliance to support its activities.
Imperiomontium is a modified Latin word set tht translates as Empire Mountain. It is now the temporal extension of the Teutonic Knights. Its main industry is mining, and it is a major source of the Continenal Union's virtual precious metals that are used to back regional currency.
