On the 12th of September, 2011, the Union of Epic Nations issued an Ultimatum to a rogue Communist nation named Comrade Commisar; telling it to halt all nuclear production as it is in violation of the Union of Epic Nations/Demidec Non-Aggression Pact. Comrade Commisar failed to cooperate, and thus the Union went to war. The war is still going on, battles raging on a small island named Treicha, and an Aquitaynian city named Helm - which had Comraden troops in it before the war broke out.
On the 6th of November, per an Amendment made to the Constitution stating that the World Assembly and Internal Affairs positions were to be merged into one entity, new elections were held for the opening position. The former (then current) Secretary of Internal Affairs, Mesoland, lost the election 5 to 2 against his opponent, Shanix. Shanix has now taken his place for the second time as the regional World Assembly delegate. We wish the best for him.
