Attention Candidates!

I have a question for both of you. How would you do better than me in this position? This is not a trick quesiton and I will not take revenge if you think I did not do a good job. I think sometimes I did not do the best that I would have done. What are things you would do that I was not able to achieve?

OK. I can be brutally honest. I think you never got all the help you needed to get things moving on here. It's way too much for one or two people. After everything gets done maybe it'll be ok for one person but not now. What I would do is insist on getting the help I need. I wouldn't ask for it, I'd appoint assistants with admin or global mod status to help me reorganize and make sure permissions were correct.

The two biggest problems I see are permission are slow to correct, there's too much obsolete stuff here, and we need to slim down the number of boards we have. It's just too much. And, I would make these things a major priority. Also, we need to figure out a program to get people's badges updated more quickly. I think I'm due for an upgrade, but I haven't seen it yet.

I hate to admit it, but Card has the bases covered on this one. I'd like to add that we really, really need to simplify some of the boards and categories on here. I'm not a major fan of "sharing the board" because it creates permissions issues and things get backed up. All of us know that in the end it's usually one or two people doing almost all the admin work, and that's too much for just one or two people.
