You know I have seen bumper stickers saying something about boycotting Fox news. But, you have to admit that this is pretty funny...and I cannot imagine it is completely fabricated because I have seen similar clips myself. No, I have no faith in Fox News either.

If you could link me any other legit site/news I'd believe it. But on principle anything Fox News makes up I pay no attention to except to laugh at people who actually watch it. Sad thing is, Fox News is the most watched news show in the US, doesn't point to good things for Americans

So that's why more people watch it! Don't worry, I watch the NBC affiliate here in Phoenix and when I'm at home in Prescott. Too much drama on Fox and even Headline news can get a little out of hand sometimes.
I saw the clip and was laughing my ass off! It really is amazing how ignorant and obivious people are. And this is the impression others get of the President. I don't think he realizes how damaging this can be. I saw something similar on the NBC station here a couple of weeks ago. I'll get OL and see if I can find it.

I'm with Ruescher on this one. I hate Fox News and anyone who believes any of the garbage they spew is severely mentally deficient. Besides, when it comes to welfare why does everyone think that it's only the black people that line up for these benefits. There are a lot of white trash and hispanics that do the same thing. I don't think it's fair to paint one group of people with the same brush.

That might be true if 80% of these people didn't fit the stereotype people have of them. And you're right about the hispanics and the white trash too. I don't know if I'd be biased about this because of my experiences in school with these people when I lived in LA. I went to a tough school until we moved to Tucson. I got picked on, followed and beat up on. Not because I was a whimp but because I'm hispanic so the blacks hated me and the other "vatos" looked at me as a traitor because I wouldn't join their "group." Most of the time that the Sheriff had to be called (which was several times a week) it was because of things the black kids did. I'm not saying the cholos were angels, but the other groups were really worse. The last year I was there, there were six stabbings (all black guys) and I don't know how many drug busts. The ones that were most disruptive in class were the black kids. Maybe they shouldn't be blamed for everything when you look at their parents who were just as ignorant, "ethnic" and violent. You could see where they'd get it from. If you don't know anything else, how do you know what's right and what's not?

Also Tlat I will say that minorities are a huge problem in the US, at least in Canada our minorities are asian, so all we got is a lot of family detached yet studious asians rather then pissed off minorities. Can't even recall the last time we had a shooting at a school....
Honestly though minorities fought for decades for equal rights and to be treated the same, yet once they have it they prove why people back in the day were worried about it. Sad state of affairs.

What's really ironic about the situation is that the ones that screamed the most about being mistreated and abused are the same ones who are probably the most violent and abusive group of all now. My girl worked in a restaurant part time in Las Vegas a couple of years ago in an area of town that was predominantly black. She's Latina and she couldn't believe how terrible most of the black patrons treated her and a white girl that worked there. They weren't that way with the other black servers that worked there though. Those patrons were really extra nasty to the white girl. Both men and women (mostly the women believe it or not) when they wanted something would yell out "Hey bitch, we need some service over here!" or "Bitch get your white ass over here." And if they didn't understand an order or made a mistake, they'd get worse abuse. One time she told me that the white girl couldn't understand this one black woman that came in and the woman started yelling at her saying something like, "Are you gettin' smart with me you fuck*n bitch? I'll take you outside right now and beat your white ass!" The white girl left and never came back. My girl only worked there for a week after the white girl left and just could stand it anymore. What a bunch of hypocrites! |

It's really not fair to paint everyone with a big broad brush. White people are equally as obnoxious as anyone else. We went out to eat the other night and as we were being seated, these two (white) couples in front of us were being led by the hostess to their seats. At the table next to where the hostess was going to seat them, there was a black family (man, woman, and older kids). We were right in back of this group to get to our table. One of the guys in the group being seated told the waitress that he did not want to be seated there because there was "an undesireable element" there and they wouldn't be able to enjoy their meal. We ended up sitting there instead and it was no big deal.
The stories you guys are telling only go to to prove that racism is everywhere with everyone. At my boy's school the black kids, the hispanic kids, and the white kids all want to have separate dances and proms. They say because each group prefers a different type of music and atmosphere. But the reality of it is even are kids are becoming racist in a different way by purposely separating themselves from each other.

These stimulus packages are becoming very dangerous. The US government needs to learn a lesson from what happened with the Mexican government in the 1980's and 1990's. You cannot keep pushing money into the economy. Soon there is too much and it decreases in value. Look at what is happening now. Everything is going up instead of the wages. My sister lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She has not had a raise in five years and her benefit costs keep going up and so is everything else. I think the devaluation process has started already. |

You make a very good point about racism everywhere. Like TRE mentions about ethnic groups in Canada, we really do not have so many problems with groups here in Mexico like in America, but there is a lot of discrimination against the indian populations. The problems with terrorists in Chiapas is a very big problem. Most Mexicans are mestizos (Spanish and Indian Mix), and there is discrimination with skin color. The white more European types are seen generally as the top of society and those who run things, the mocha browns (a friend of mine in LA came up with that for the lighter skinned mestizos) are usually middle class and sometimes make it to the top group, and then we have the darker skinned people and then the Indians. The Indians are treated terribly and are laughed at. Some people when they want to tell you that you are dumb or have no class will say "You're such an Indian." It is an hypocracy because Mexico prides itself on its Indian roots, but they treat them terribly. I don't understand it.
I learned from my experience in the US and here that racism is everywhere and it is not always a matter of "race". Anyone who is different can have the potential to be a victim of discrimination. I think many people cannot understand that.
